My paintings explore the tension between emotion and control, movement and stillness, intuition and intention.

I work intuitively and in layers, bringing together color, pigment, texture, and transparency to form an ever-changing image.

During the painting process, layers emerge that reinforce, conceal, and reveal one another, allowing each work to develop its own rhythm, depth, and presence.

My practice is rooted in Abstract Expressionism and gestural abstraction, yet it has evolved into a personal visual language where color and movement take center stage. The characteristic black line that recurs in my work forms a recognizable element within this language.

I am fascinated by the moment when control gives way to intuition and the unexpected becomes part of the final work.

My paintings are not predetermined compositions, but emerge through a continuous process of reacting, searching, and deciding.

My work has been exhibited internationally and is included in private collections at home and abroad. I am represented by IMHOF Fine Arts in Maastricht.

Within my various series, including Anchored, I investigate how inner experience, movement, and color can be translated into an autonomous abstract space.

I paint from intuition, but always with intention.
